Product Details
This inner tail light features a near-trapezoidal exterior design, with a smooth and rounded inner edge that echoes the license plate mounting area on the tailgate, creating a more harmonious rear appearance. Two red decorative frames on the inner side connect naturally with the outer tail light, forming a continuous and unified lighting effect when illuminated and further enhancing rear-end recognition. The lower section is equipped with a clear lens, making the reverse light brighter and more visible while balancing practicality with visual appeal.
As the first-generation Mercedes-Benz GLE model, this vehicle is equipped with a smoother 9AT transmission, delivering a more comfortable driving experience. With its luxurious feel, practical space, and stable performance, the GLE has consistently maintained a leading position among models in its class.

FAQ
Q1: My 2018 GLE has a crack in the trunk-mounted light. Is this the correct inner part?
A1: Yes, for the 2016-2019 GLE (W166/V167 transition period models), the light assembly mounted directly on the tailgate is the "inner" tail light. This part is specifically engineered for that location and fits the 2016 through 2019 model years perfectly.
Q2: Can I upgrade my 2016 GLE inner tail light to the 2020 facelift style using this part?
A2: No, this part is a direct replacement for the 2016-2019 pre-facelift style. The 2020+ models have a completely different shape and connector layout. This part ensures your vehicle retains its original factory look and compliance.
Q3: Does this inner tail light come with the chrome trim strip attached?
A3: This part typically comes as the housing and lens assembly. Depending on the specific sub-trim of your 2016-2019 GLE, the chrome connecting strip might need to be transferred from your old unit or purchased separately if it was damaged during the breakage.
Q4: How do I access the bulbs for this inner tail light if one fails?
A4: On the 2016-2019 GLE inner tail light, there is usually an access panel on the interior side of the tailgate trim. You can remove the panel to reach the bulb sockets without removing the entire light assembly from the exterior, making bulb changes much easier.
